Right place, right time: Army emphasizes speed, reliability of medical logistics

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. - The need for planning and procedures that improve readiness and survivability of Soldiers cannot be overstated in the U.S. Army's larger mission of fighting and winning wars in any setting. That fact is not lost on Gen. Gus Perna, commanding general of the Army Materiel Command and the Army's senior logistician, whose vision aims to ensure essential Class VIII medical supplies and equipment are always in "the right place at the right time" to support Army and Joint Forces operations.
Womack Army Medical Center named Level III trauma center

Womack Army Medical Center was designated as one of three trauma centers in a 10-county radius Nov. 6. The American College of Surgeons accredits WAMC as a Level III trauma center as able to provide complex healthcare delivery to Soldiers and family members of the home of the Airborne & Special Operations.

Army Reserve senior enlisted leaders tackle ACFT amid leadership council

The top command sergeants major from across the U.S. Army Reserve perform the leg tuck for a practice Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) at Fort Eustis, Va., Oct. 25, 2019, during the Army Reserve Senior Enlisted Council. The council is a three-day event hosted by Command Sgt. Maj. Ted Copeland, the U.S. Army Reserve's senior enlisted leader. During the workshop the enlisted leaders tackled various topics that affect Soldiers' readiness, training and professional development. They conducted a practice ACFT as they lead the effort to implement the new test over the next 12 months before it becomes the official fitness test of record across the U.S. Army.
Army Surgeon General Receives Third Star; Thanks Family, Friends and CSA McConville

JOINT BASE MEYER-HENDERSON HALL, VIRGINIA -- During an emotional ceremony that featured a large family, a lifetime of mentors and teachers, and about 500 friends, R. Scott Dingle, The Army Surgeon General, was promoted to lieutenant general on Oct. 17, 2019, at the Fort Myer Memorial Chapel. The ceremony was hosted by Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. James C. McConville who introduced and thanked the Dingle family.
